AUSTRALIAN PREMIERE
Amongst a vast field of overgrown weeds, the Gardener tends to her immaculately kept garden. After a harsh storm blows in unwanted intruders, the Gardener struggles to maintain order and must challenge her conceptions of good and evil. Using the technique of oil painting on glass, Weeds is a mesmerising animated short that premiered in the Official Selection at this year’s Cannes Film Festival.

CaSFFA is delighted to present Weeds at the Opening Night of CaSFFA 2024. It will be followed by the feature film March to May (dir. Martin Pavol Repka, 2024, Czech Republic, Slovakia, 85 mins).
